IT technician EFZ with specialisation in platform development

IT technician (Diploma of Vocational Education and Training) with a specialisation in platform development and focus on setting up, maintaining and optimising IT systems. With your training, you will help ensure a stable and secure IT infrastructure at WALO.

Training

Training as an IT Technician (Diploma of Vocational Education and Training), specialising in platform development, takes four years in Switzerland:

In-company training: Practical work in a training setting where you will plan, develop, implement and maintain IT platforms. You will familiarise yourself with programming languages, tools and development processes.
Vocational school: Theoretical training for 1-2 days per week with subjects including software development, databases, networks, maths and English.
External courses: Supplementary practical courses to deepen specific skills.

At the end there is a final examination (qualification process), which comprises practical and theoretical tasks. The Diploma of Vocational Education and Training qualification gives you the foundation for starting your career or continuing your training.
