Who we are
Anchored in Switzerland and internationally active, WALO is managed as a family business in the 4th and 5th generation. For over 100 years, WALO has focused on the combination of consistency and innovation.
What we do
WALO is active as an innovative total solutions company in all markets of the construction industry. The family-owned company has established itself as a reliable partner in the construction industry and infrastructure projects in Switzerland and worldwide with its decades of experience and the permanent development of sustainable as well as economical solutions.
We have successfully implemented many challenging projects. Therefore, we proudly let our references speak for our work.
Whether residential, industrial, healthcare, outdoor or for sports and leisure facilities - seamless floor coverings have to meet a wide variety of requirements on a permanent basis.
Good buildings and thus satisfied customers require precise construction work. All our employees, from unskilled workers to engineers, play a key role in ensuring that we achieve this goal time and time again.
With our locations in three countries, we are successfully active for you worldwide.
If required, WALO can also take on the planning and implementation of infrastructure projects. This means that public-sector clients have the option of having just one single partner to deal with when commissioning construction projects. Because the teamwork necessary to coordinate design and implementation comes into play at the earliest stage of the project, innovative construction solutions can also be applied.
This allows GC experts to benefit from the decades of experience gained by the WALO Group in all types of infrastructural work. This offers added value compared with conventional project implementation.
Concrete Rehabilitation and Hydrodynamics
This unique bridge is a perfect example of the new generation of slender structures with large spans that could be realized in a very short time.
The former WALO company headquarters from the 1950s was replaced by a townhouse with 27 apartments. The sculptural structure contains different floor plan typologies for today's urban dweller.
Landfill Construction & Site Remediation
For the overall remediation of the Kölliken/AG hazardous waste landfill, SMDK decided to dismantle the hazardous waste stored in the years 1978-1985 under the protection of an airtight steel construction hall and to dispose of it in compliance with the law.
We appreciate your interest in the WALO Group and are happy to answer any questions you may have.
