In the midst of the Tivoli shopping center, the Limmattalbahn construction site and the Tivoli Garden Switzerland construction site, the conversion site was located over five floors and the roof.

Project description

The basic construction had to be handed over to the tenants ready for delivery at the end of February 2022. Not an easy undertaking when you have the ongoing shopping center, rolling planning and two major construction sites around you. The main work on the interior was demolition, structural strengthening, extension of floor areas, two lifts and a staircase. On the roof it was a technical center and a goods corridor.

Special features

The biggest challenge was the logistics, which ran at all times in consultation with the neighboring construction sites. There was no space for a crane of its own, so work had to be carried out using cranes from neighboring construction sites. In addition, the materialization of the roof superstructures was changed twice due to the shortage of supplies and the associated delivery deadlines. However, thanks to the good cooperation between the planners, project managers and contractors, the deadlines and the desired quality were met.
