New construction MFH Bergliweg 18, 8048 Zurich

A new replacement building with 13 rental apartments was built in the middle of the Suteracher quarter in Zurich-Altstetten. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood without traffic, which does not exclude the proximity to local transport.

Project description

The classic massive building with urban space ratio was constructed within a short time over winter. The building with element lift shaft and exposed concrete walls in the staircase was built with the highest precision. In order to control the slope water, the walls in contact with the ground were made watertight with concrete composite foil.

Special features

Extremely tight space conditions and a former pedestrian path were the only space available for the construction site logistics. With a provisional approach and optimization of the crane location, the construction site could be handled without any problems. Thanks to the good cooperation between the planners, designers and contractors, it was possible to build a high-quality structure that satisfied everyone involved in the project.
