VoMa Töss Bridge Winterthur

The Töss Bridge is located on the main axis of the N01 in section 48, Zurich - St. Gallen. The rehabilitation (main work) took a total of about 1 ½ years. The work was carried out under traffic in three main construction phases.

The Töss Bridge is located on the main axis of the N01 in section 48, Zurich - St. Gallen. The rehabilitation (main works) took a total of about 1 ½ years. The work was carried out under traffic in three main construction phases.

Special features

The following work was carried out over the entire construction period:

Adaptation of the central reservation (so that it was passable throughout).
Reinforcement and repair of the cross girders (indirect bearing) with tie rods
Re-anchoring of the abutments and retaining walls (Zurich abutment) with prestressed ground anchors
Full surface protection measures on the concrete surfaces with covering paint (coating with increased impermeability)
Repair of concrete spalling on the chamber walls of the abutments
Execution of new tie-back transverse buffers at both abutments
Reprofiling of the guide walls with ultra-high performance fiber concrete (UHFB)
Renewal of road surface, waterproofing, roadway transitions
Renewal of the inlet and cleaning manholes
